How Do You Set Up A Buddha Set? How It’s Use Correctly?
I am an American person that is into Vietnamese culture so, I would like to know how it’s set up properly and, what actions do they do to pray and, kneel something like that. The set up I have seen is Buddha statue and other kinds of statues, 3 lit incense in between the red light bulb candles, little cups of water, some bowl of fruits and, other foods. I think some money too. Sometimes, I’ve seen the vietnamese burn some paper inside the tin can. What’s that mean? I like to learn different cultures. That’s all. I will appreciate your help.:)

Vietnamese Buddhists practice ancestor worship so their house altars usually have pictures of ancestors or some of their personal effects, like a little shrine. The objects you refer to (bowls of fruit and such) are offerings to the ancestors and would be different in different homes, possibly based on what the person liked. There are always candles. You can write your prayers or requests and burn them rather than say them. There aren’t a lot of strict rules on it as far as I know. Each family is a little different.
How i would do it.
I would lay a choice piece of concrete or find a prepoured slab. Then I would make sure there is enough space before me. About three feet.
I would prepare myself through deep thought and stretching.
Then I would put on my prayer glasses. Actually they are more like goggles.
Then I would circle my energy into the sledge hammer I was holding and splinter that thing to dust because my God forbids bowing to a carved image. Afterwords I would enjoy knowing I avoided curses and received blessings.
Relic-worship and related practices are not part of the scriptures of Buddhism. The writings say that the Buddha didn’t want people to worship him.
You can buy a buddha at the import place in the mall though. Ha!
