Dude. I AM a buddhist!
I am not, however, a gargoylist. Die, sinner! LOL. Just kidding.
The real, true answer, is no.

If you were to see a real gargoyle and know that it was there for your destruction, you probably would try to get rid of it. I think the devil sees it as an invitation or even legal right to dwell with the statue. Buddha may have tried to do good but did not define good according to the Word of God. If you do not go further than he in your search for truth, you will fall short. You know that is the definition of sin, to fall short of being like God. Personally I know that the devil would love to find a Buddha statue in my house put there with my permission. He would see it as an opening to try and destroy me. I would also make sure that I did not regard any pictures of Jesus Christ as idols or articles of worship. As Christians, we worship the creator, Yahweh, Himself.
Yes this is a sin.
ISAIAH 44:9-13
9) Those who fashion a graven image are all of them futile, and their Precious things are of no profit; even their own witness fail to see or know, so that they will be put to shame.
the rest of the scriptures describes these craftsmen that make these.
In ISAIAH 42:17
They shall be turned back and utterly put to shame, Who trust in idols who say to molten images “You are our gods.”
Also, Deut. 7:1-5, 25
Deut. 12:2,3
Ps.78:58
Jer.8:19
Do you see them as symbols of a god, or just as cultural decor? I am a Christian through and through, but art is art. It is created beauty. It shows our capability to be creative, and to give love to our work. Art is always worth enjoying, no matter how perverse.
Generally, yes. You have idols of the worship of a false god. I could not have a Buddha in my house, but you have your own religious convictions.
My whole room is decorated with Buddah stuff i love the guy he was such a good Philosofer for his time. No i dont believe in sins and well it shouldnt be a sin because its used as a decoration.

They’re just statues. The only sin could be if there is a sinful attitude in your heart towards them like if you thought that they represented God and you worshiped them or prayed to them.
A life of purity begins with simplicity.
I’m an atheist, so nothing’s a sin to me. But I do like the little Hindu religion statues. I think I will get some more.
in buddhism there is no such thing a “sin” just virtuous and non-virtuous deeds.
so no its not a sin at all
Not if they are art.
Of course, gargoyles mostly live on churches.
Only if you bow before them and pay homage.
Not a sin, just tacky.
I have gargoyles and a fairy over my bed. I don’t see it as sin, just art.
I’m some kind of Christian. The statues, to me, are fine as long as you don’t worship either.
Just a guess: They are an invation for a demon to hang around You;
I’m Wiccan, and nope, don’t see a problem with this.
