Good morning Aayudh,
No, we Buddhists do not worship the Buddha but praise him. One of the most confusing aspects non-Buddhists have of Buddhism is the misunderstanding that we Buddhists worship the Buddha. We neither worship nor pray to the Buddha as though he is a God. Rather, we venerate and honor him for his teachings. The statues in themselves are unimportant—the teachings (the Dharma) is, however, crucial.
Let’s put the having of statues found in temples on a more personal level. You probably have photographs in your home of relatives you love that remind you of them, the times you enjoyed together, etc., especially if they live far from you or have died. In much the same manner we Buddhists will have an image or statue, also called a rupa, of the Buddha Shakyamuni. The Buddha is not worshipped but venerated for his teachings, his showing us the way to end suffering, and the exemplary life he led.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama cautions, however, the primary importance for every Buddhist is studying the writings of the Buddha and texts written by teachers. “It wouldn’t be bad if you didn’t have statues, but it has become indispensable to have Buddhist texts which deal with the structured path to train our mind. If you have Buddhist texts, read them for yourselves and to friends who visit. That way you can help others to understand Buddhist ideas. For instance, it is interesting to read Milarepa’s life story and songs. We find in them many enlightening lessons. Buddha’s image alone will not purify us of karmic obscuration…. It is very important to study the scriptures. They are not to be just stacked up on the altar. They must be cultivated in our mind. …[we] take great interest in having the symbolic representations of Buddha’s body, speech and mind. I feel it is more important to acquire and read scriptures, the symbolic representations of his speech. You can pay homage to them, you can make offerings to them; above all, you should study them. (from “Generous Wisdom: Commentaries by H.H. the Dalai Lama XIV on the Jatakamala” translated by Tenzin Dorjee edited by Dexter Roberts)
Hope this helps.
May all be at peace.
John
first of all buddha is a deity not a god.we worship the buddha and other deities for enlightenment.
Go back and reread some of the answers Not selective ones mind The answer to your question awaits

Would you care to list the questions that you mention
In that way I may be able to help you further
In the book that I read Buddha has no particular form or attributes and is only concerned about the salvation of humans from suffering. Buddha is not a god but more like an enlightened being. He/she/it can appear as anyone in any form.
Siddhartha Gautama i believe was a human who became a Buddha. It also stated that every person has a body, a mind and a true mind. The true mind is the Buddha. It is Eternal and it’s desire is not the same desire of the mind and body.
I don’t think they worship Buddha. But I only read a few pages.
Just because there are statues of him doesn’t mean they worship him as a God
In my hometown of Toronto theres a statue of John A. Macdonald – Canada’s first Prime Minister. but the overwhelming majority of Canadians understand that PM Macdonald was not God.
The purpose of building a statue is to commemorate people who are worthy of respect. Thats it.
The second chance in a week to expose the myth you reptilians seem to be obsessed with
Do we worship Lord Buddha as a God …….Lucky me !!
First you need to understand the six realms of existence These being
GOD REALM
DEMI GOD REALM
HUMAN REALM
ANIMAL REALM
HUNGRY GHOST REALM
HELL REALM
Do you see Buddha Realm within there ? NO
The Buddha Fields are OUTSIDE the six realms of existence
Now don’t read any further until you have that understanding right in the mind Otherwise the rest will cause you great confusion
You have that now You sure ???
Only when you do will it be safe to proceed
All serious Buddhas worship Lord Buddha Other Buddhas and also Bodhisattva’s as Buddhas and Bodhisattva’s NOT AS GODS
There are many accounts throughout the Dhamma were GODS Come to listen to Lord Buddha expound the Dhamma Probably one of the most well know is the Heart Sutra but there are many others too
For a Sutra to be considered the actual words of Lord Buddha they have to meet certain criteria One of these being to list all who were present
Time after time is it shows the GODS honouring Lord Buddha NOT the other way round
So by definition It says to me the Buddhas are higher than the Gods and as people worship Gods it would also be befitting to worship a Buddha
Buddhists in Asia know this already It is only in the likes of America and other western countries where Buddhism is being misused by satanists luciferians reptilians or any other name they wish to term themselves
It is as crazy as this
Hello Is this the Jewish Embassy
Yes it is
Sorry to pull you away I am going to Jerusalem next month I read an article in a magazine and I have seen for myself Jewish people have it all wrong I would need a recommendation regarding a decent hotel Only for one night
Ha Ha Are you saying You can convince the whole of the Jewish People in two days what they have been practicing for four thousand years is wrong
Yes
Ha Ha Are you crazy
Tibetan Buddhism is not Buddhism It is a miss mash of Buddhism and Bon It is also satanic
There isn’t a single Temple that doesn’t have satanic rupas on display
What is pertaining to be the dalai lama is illuminati On the payroll of the CIA to the tune of $125 000 per annum His books are wrote by others and in his twenty third year was captured on film swapping masonic handshakes with chairman Mao on his visit to China
Tibetan Buddhism was set up to entice Christians away from their Faith which incidentally had been seriously weakened by the satanic pope Paul 6 they had doing his thing at Vatican 2 when the whole of the Mass was made effective and 38.000 Priests walked out in disgust
These rinpoches have never give a stuff regarding their own people In the days when they run the country They always treated the Tibetan People like surfs anyway
Many live in the west and these days $$$/£££ is like music to their ears
The reptilian answer will be manipulated as best answer but Fellow Humans please take note
This is what Lord Buddha left for us in these timeshttp://amitabha-gallery.org
Which is FAITH BASED and works
Namo Amitabha Buddha
Worship of the buddha is Strickly Forbidden…he himself said “this is heracy”.-A Buddhist Bible by Dwight Goddard.
The buddha did not talk much about god or gods, he said it is more important to focus on one’s own problems so as to be able to better one’s self and to be able to help others.
