My father is Anglo-Indian. That means that he is a British subject born and raised in India back when Great Britain occupied India. He said that the tradition of a Buddha for good luck is as follows: Someone must give it to you as a gift (you cannot buy your own) and you must place it in your house always facing to the East.
Most Asain marketts, or fle-marketts carry them. If you didnt know most koreans are buddist and have a large network of these type of things.
I got mine at the hardware store’s garden statuary selection, next to a display of Virgin Marys and Saint Francises.
Look in a Occult/Metaphysical shop. Target, TJ Maxx and Marshalls sells Buddha statutes also.
Chinatown, if there is one in your state. Chinese people are everywhere so it shouldn’t be too hard. Or you can always try the Internet: eBay, craigslist, amazon, etc….
Search online. You can find anything via google.
you can find a Buddha statue at the local landfill
You could google/ yahoo search and find what you like.

You can also try Ebay. They have good ones.
You did not specify what sort you would like; A traditional or Feng shui ones.
go to asian super market
or
ebay.

Good luck!
You can buy them at the larger stores like Target and even Walmart. My last one came from Target…they have one that I want now, but I’m waiting to buy it.
I think I recieved my first one out of the Candlelite catalogue, you can most likely find that online.
Good Luck!
at a Buddha store?
Cost Plus World Market.
They have several different sizes, and different Buddhas. They are lovely.

If you want to practise buddhism seriously, don’t buy one. Buddha specifically asked his followers NOT to create images of him, that could be used for worship. Some have just been too stupid too listen.
Anyway. You don’t need a statue to be a buddhist. Buddhist is a psychological practise, where you only depend on yourself.
