They’re not satanic. The “satanic” symbols you’re talking about came after the buddha statues were conceptualized and made. Same with the swastika. It used to be a symbol of peace before the effin’ nazis screwed it over. f***ing nazis.

Hrm. “Satanic”. Generally, people who do the whole “Satanic” scaremongering are big on “Bible Only” doctrine. Therefore, can you please show me in the Bible wherein these “Satanic hand signs” are defined? Otherwise, you are referring to a “tradition of men” to consider them to be “Satanic” and not something else, entirely.
The saem reason we see swastikas; at one time, the symbols meant something completely different. And still do.
If i give an “OK” sign in America, no trouble; if I give that same sign in Brasil, I might get beaten up, as I have insulted that person.

Different religion, different culture, different meanings for various symbols – how much simpler can it get?

probably because christians ascribed evil meanings to the gestures to scare people away from buddhism, the same way they modeled images of satan after pagan gods. buddhist symbology was well-established long before christians invented satan.

the meaning of symbol depend on who interpret it. EX: a cross is holy for christian but may be nothing to the other. A lotus is pure for Buddhists but it means nothing to rest…
